My name is Roy Walter Samuelson.
I am a 24-year-old senior at Florida Gulf Coast University and I’ll be graduating at the end of April ’12. My major was music for the first four years of college; I did my first two years at Florida State University and then transferring to Florida Gulf Coast University, again pursuing a major in music.
I took an internship in New York City during the summer of 2010 and I realized that performing was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was then that I switched my major to Communication. I love this major; I find that it all comes easily and naturally to me. I also took a Public Relations writing class and that was very helpful to me to have more education (as well as internship experience) within professional writing.
Upon returning to school in the spring '11 semester I had a short internship with the Lee County Alliance for the Arts, and here I am looking for another internship. I am looking forward to starting down a path that will turn into something way more than “just a job” and doing something that I will be able to fully utilize my skills and my major as well as calling on my past experiences.
If you are seeking a detail-oriented, promising intern or employee, I encourage you to download my résumé and view my qualifications. I hope to work with you soon.
